Feeling Discombobulated? – Toastmasters January Meeting

We hope that you weren’t discombobulated with our temporary location change for our last meeting on Tuesday, 21st January (We’ll be back in the main church hall in our next meeting on Tuesday, 4th February). Read on to find out what happened in our last meeting!

FIRST HALF OF THE MEETING

  • Saloomeh did a fantastic job at leading the meeting as the Toastmaster.
  • Edward made sure that the meeting ran on time with precise time keeping.
  • Dipendra challenged everyone to use the word ‘Discombobulate’ in their speeches as the Grammarian.
  • As Table Topics Master, Rachel challenged guests and members with ‘Would You Rather…’ questions.
  • Rolf gave the Table Topics speakers helpful feedback. Well done to all the guests and members that stood up for a table topic!
  • Stefanos introduced the guests attending the meeting and asked them to reveal a ‘wow’ fact about themselves.

AFTER THE NETWORKING BREAK

  • Bhav Ramanathan shared ‘management skills from a 6 year old’.
  • Olya Purikova divulged great habits to keep in the New Year with ‘Make 2020 Your Year’.
  • Jon Lam told everyone why they should start ‘leading with laughter’.
  • Sean Sweeney gave his speech entitled ‘Seneca Says’

  • Congratulations to Rolf Merchant for winning as the Best Evaluator.
  • Congratulations to Scott Baker for winning as Best Table Topics Speaker.
