Our last meeting on Tuesday, November 19th was definitely an innovative one! Read on to find out what happened in the meeting.

FIRST HALF OF THE MEETING

  • Bhav Ramanathan led the meeting as the Toastmaster for the first time.
  • Members and guests had to endure the time related puns that our Timekeeper, Stefanos Antypas came up with.
  • Meghna Patel treated challenged everyone to use the word of the day ‘Zonked’.
  • As Table Topics Master, Jon Lam took everyone on a journey across a deserted island in the table topics section. Sarah Bergin gave an astonishing evaluation for all 10 Table Topics speakers and managed to stay within the time limit!
  • Simone Compagni introduced the guests and asked everyone for their favourite karaoke song.

AFTER THE NETWORKING BREAK

  • Olga Purikova completed told everyone ‘why I don’t want to go to my friends’ party’ in her first icebreaker speech.
  • Jack Rowson gave his icebreaker speech entitled ‘One Year’.
  • Matilda Hay talked about the ‘procrastination monkey’.
  • Cristelle Delaporte confessed that ‘I failed but I promise I’ll get better’.

  • Congratulations to Matilda Hay for winning the Best Speaker for prepared speeches.
  • Congratulations to Rachel De Cesaro for winning as Best Evaluator.
  • Congratulations to Jonty Rooke for winning as Best Table Topics Speaker.
  • SPECIAL MENTION to Jack and Olga for completing their icebreaker speeches!
