Where leaders are made – 7th July

Our latest meeting of Toastmasters on the 7th July was not only enjoyable, but an inspiring and educational virtual meeting where Toastmasters and guests were able to learn and support each other. It is great to see an increasing number of our guests joining to learn and develop their communication skills and become official Toastmaster members! Read on to learn more of our latest meeting:

Meeting Part One
In this Toastmasters meeting, we had the pleasure of welcoming our Toastmaster member, Tom Griffiths, as this weeks Toastmaster leader to welcome and announce the schedule for the exciting meeting. He was joined by the important assistance of the lovely Ranjitha Justin being our Time Keeper and Jonty Rooke as this meeting’s Grammarian. Bhavan Ramanathan was our Table Topic’s Master who asked our members and guests a bundle of short, exciting and interesting questions to challenge them under prompt and friendly conditions. We then had Jack Rowson who did a great job of evaluating our Table Topic’s speakers.

Meeting Part Two
After a short break, we were introduced by our meeting’s speakers and our speakers put on quite a show! We had:

Saloomeh Mokhtari talked about ‘My Toastmasters Journey’
Go Lok Chung’s speech was ‘How do you make better decisions’
Tim Cummins spoke about ‘Do you know the way there’

Thank you to our speakers for providing us inspiring and mesmerising speeches! We then had our evaluators Janet Fuchek, Sarah Bergin, and Christine Harris to give useful constructive feedback to help our speakers improve in their next speeches and skills.
