Cristelle, responsible for the Membership at our club have pointed out many reasons why you wish to participate as a guest in one of our meetings:
– perhaps you are starting a new job/position involving speaking to an audience,
– wanting to gain confidence when leading a team,
– aiming to better express yourself,
– dreaming to tackle a long-standing fear of public speaking,
– meeting a lovely bunch of people into personal development
All reasons are more than valid and we from City of London Toastmaster hope you enjoy our meetings and see the benefits of becoming a member!
At our meeting on Tuesday, we had four fantastic speeches and Esther with her speech titled ‘Home’ was the winner. Dami and Martin shared the best evaluation and Martin also took best table topic of the evening. Congratulations also to Andrew for taking on his first role as timekeeper. Well done everyone!
